View ESXi server virtual machines details

Unisphere supports the discovery of vCenters or ESXi servers (using a read-only user) and integrates the information into Unisphere. VMware information is connected to its storage extents, and enables seamless investigation of any storage-related issues.

About this task

This tabbed view contains details about the virtual machines (VMs) under the ESXi Server.

Steps

  1. Select VMware > vCenters and ESXi from the menu bar on the left side of the screen.
  2. Select a vCenter/ESXi Server instance, and click .
  3. Click View All Details.
    A view with multiple tabs is displayed.
  4. Click the Virtual Machines tab.
    The following properties are displayed:
    • VM Name—VM name
    • CPU Count—CPU count
    • Total Memory (MB)—Total memory
    • OS Name—Operating system name
    The following control is available:
  5. Click to view the following VM properties:
    • VM Name—VM name
    • Powered—Indication if powered
    • CPU Count—CPU count
    • Total Memory (MB)—Total memory
    • OS Name—Operating system name
    • IP Address—IP address
    • Virtual Disks—A number that indicates the number of virtual disks of this virtual machine. You can click the link in order to go to a list showing all the disks associated with the virtual machine.
